What you will be doing

Being a Volunteer visitor is a great opportunity for people to make a difference to a visually impaired person’s life.
Volunteer visitors provide an essential service by reaching out and meeting on a regular basis those people who are at extreme risk to social isolation.
This role will involve meeting with the person in their own home every 2 to 3 weeks for an hour or so. Some people do go out with the person they befriend but every circumstance is different and not a requirement of volunteer befriending.

You need to be friendly, kind, empathetic, compassionate, reliable and patient. No formal qualifications are required for this role.
