What you will be doing

We are a small RSPCA branch, a standalone charity, covering Ashford, Tenterden and the Romney Marsh. As with all RSPCA branches we support the work of the National Society as well as run a rehoming cattery and a charity shop.

We are currently looking to appoint a couple of new trustees who will be passionate about the charity's aims. The desirable areas of expertise are noted below however consideration will be given to outstanding candidates with other appropriate skills and experience.

We are looking for trustees with skills and expertise in any of the following areas:

Fundraising & Marketing
Governance
IT
Health and safety
Legal
HR

Activities

Administration,Advice, Information & Support,Trusteeships & Committees

Skills & Attributes

Leadership, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Teamwork, Admin

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
