About us Our Tankerton shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. Tankerton’s specialist donated clothing boutique, who also have a varied selection of books and music on offer. We have a real community feel about us and have wonderful support from the most amazing customers and volunteers. We have a large toy section to keep the little ones busy which is always full of fun, interesting and educational toys. We have a real reputation for our fantastic range of handbags, shoes and ladies clothing, so if you’re looking for a new outfit, a gift or maybe something for the home or the children, why not pop in and say hello

About you
Support our shops behind the scenes, back of house, sorting donations, getting things ready for sale and making sure the shop is kept stocked and ready for our customers.

Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager. How much time does the role take up? Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available. Why not arrange a taster session? You can register your interest in volunteering online or directly in store. You can have a no-obligation taster session in your chosen shop. About Sue Ryder We provide care, bereavement and emotional support in our hospices and neurological centres, in people's homes, online and in the community. Sue Ryder is one of the UK’s largest charity retailers with over 400 shops. Our shops generate funding so we can provide an annual 2.7 million hours of expert medical care.
