With the commitment and energy of our wonderful volunteers, The Bath Royal Literary and Scientific institution has become a centre of cultural activity open to all. BRLSI is a Covid Secure environment and on reopening in the spring we will be looking for Saturday Reception Volunteers to help welcome visitors to our institution and make sure visitors enjoy their time in a safe and stimulating way

As a Reception Desk Volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for visitors to BRLSI. You will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering the telephone, checking and responding to email, printing out and displaying publicity materials, carrying out any administrative tasks the management team might need help with, working on publicity for various events. You will also be the first point of contact for people accessing our exhibits.

What skills and qualities do I need?

We are looking for cheerful and well-presented individuals, who are comfortable dealing with members of the public. You will need to have a confident telephone manner and be adept in the use of Microsoft office. What does the institution offer in return?

The BRLSI offer regular social events for our volunteers such as our annual summer and Christmas parties, and a rich and varied volunteer experience.
