What skills and qualities do I need?You will be confident in the use of digital technology, ideally having a proven track record of some practical application of this in their daily lives. Volunteers will be comfortable working as part of a team and will contribute ideas and experience to the BRLSI publicity team. Since volunteers will be involved in the outward face of BRLSI, a high standard of literacy is important and an interest in the arts or sciences of enormous benefit. Key areas in which we are looking for volunteer involvement:• Mailchimp Marketing• Eventbrite Promotion. • Uploading Events onto Our Website.• Uploading Events onto The National Press Association Website and Numerous Other Listings Sites. • Facebook, Instagram And Twitter Events & Promotion Using a Hootsuite Package. • Building Up Our Publicity Databases for Further Use.All volunteers will undertake an initial induction and receive full training and ongoing support from the volunteer/press coordinator.

BRLSI are looking for cheerful, forward-thinking and hardworking volunteers, comfortable in the use of digital technology and ideally having a proven track record of some practical application of this in their daily lives. All new volunteers will undertake an initial induction and receive full training and ongoing support from the volunteer/press coordinator.
The BRLSI offer regular social events for our volunteers both in-house and virtual, the chance to meet like-minded friends and after an initial induction period further benefits relating to our programme. Our volunteers also receive training and talks on our current exhibitions and our collection. We are fully committed to helping and supporting the career development of our volunteers where we can.
