We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help us run our community Welcome Space sessions — a warm, inclusive place for people to meet, chat, and take part in activities and enjoy light refreshments.

As a volunteer, you could help in one or more of the following ways:

Session Support: Greet attendees, help with registration, and join in with simple activities like board games or arts and crafts.

Food Support: Make teas and coffees, prepare snacks, and help keep the kitchen clean and tidy.

Set-up/Tidy-up: Arrange tables, chairs, and refreshments before sessions, and help clear away afterwards.

This role is perfect for someone who is friendly, welcoming, punctual, and enjoys working with others. You’ll be part of a supportive team, with guidance from BRCC staff and volunteers.

These roles would suit someone who is friendly and welcoming. We also hope that our volunteers have most of the following attributes: • reliable, punctual and honest; • able to work independently – but with guidance and support; • able to communicate well with others; • observant and sensitive to the needs of others.
