If you’re 18+ why not join your local Timebank. When you’re part of a Timebank, you can share your skills to help others, get more involved in your local community, and earn time-credits so you can get help with things you need a hand with. It’s a system that works on time and skills exchanging hands – not money. Plus, unlike volunteering, there’s no regular commitment.

All skills are welcomed. Whether you’re a computer expert, dog-walker, DIY-er, or bookkeeper, your skill is worth exactly the same in a Timebank. For every one hour of time you spend helping another member of the Timebank, you’ll earn one time-credit that can be used on something you need help with. No money, no commitment, no pressure. It’s a great way to feel connected, help others, and receive help too.

Gardening

Examples of skills that have been shared recently include: gardening, dog walking, bike maintenance, IT support, sewing, shopping and baking. The more members a Timebank has the greater the range of skills that the community can benefit from.

Timebanking has been proven to: *generate stronger community spirit *increase self-worth amongst those who usually only receive help *encourage cross-generational understanding and relationship building *increase the use of the resources in a community *provide support for local community groups *get people out of their homes, into the community and having fun!

Any time any day...whatever suits you!
