Practical Conservation Volunteer

Join our weekly volunteering group in helping to manage our beautiful and varied nature reserves in Bedfordshire. Running Tuesday to Thursday, with occasional Saturdays, our volunteers help staff to repair fences, remove invasive species, cut back scrub clear paths to help ensure both people and wildlife can enjoy and thrive in nature. All tools are provided, as are hot drinks and biscuits, no previous experience is required. You just need to bring some lunch, suitable footwear and clothing for working outdoors and enthusiasm for working outdoors! You will receive monthly updates for when and where tasks are due to take place once you have registered with us.

Environmental

A willingness to work physically in an outdoor environment and within a group setting

Explore new green spaces, learn new practical skills, learn more about nature in your local area, meet new people, improve physical and mental health

Optional, tasks run 10-4pm but no obligation to stay all day and there are 2-3 tasks running every week throughout the year
