Fundraising is key to our work so that everyone in
Luton knows what we do and how they can support
us. We are looking for a volunteer to provide general
admin support and help with fundraising events
alongside marketing. This is a perfect volunteering
role for anyone who wants to work for a charity, has
a few hours to spare each week/month and wants to
make a real difference to local women and children.

Minimum commitment of four hours a week. Our volunteering opportunities are during office hours Monday to Friday.

As an organisation supporting women and children affected by domestic violence, our volunteer roles are open to women only. This aligns with the Occupational Requirement as set out in the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1. Women who have previously received support from WAL must have been out of service for a minimum of one year before becoming eligible to volunteer. The same applies to any woman who, although not a former service user, identifies as having experienced domestic violence.
