Gig Buddies matches members and volunteers based on their interests so that they can enjoy shared activities together. Once matched the idea is that you do something with your Gig Buddy once a month.

Are you interested in music, eating out and going on walks in the fresh air? Perhaps you’re a keen gamer too!

We are looking for a volunteer to support a buddy in exploring new places and generally having some fun.

They enjoy listening to music from the 1950s to the 1980s, and also have a keen interest in the Royal Mail and emergency services, so knowledge of either would be a bonus!

A volunteer with a car would be preferable, though the buddy is willing to use accessible taxis. They live in Mid Bedfordshire so this may be ideal for a volunteer outside Bedford, particularly around Ampthill, Flitwick and the surrounding villages.

You don’t need any special skills to become a Gig Buddy — just kindness, reliability, and a willingness to spend time doing things you enjoy with someone else. Every volunteer brings something unique, and your life experience, interests, and personality are all valuable.

The volunteer will get support with their expenses each month. They will be able to use carers tickets to go to events. It's volunteering made fun! You will be doing an activity that you love doing and making a friend along the way.
