What you will be doing

Join our Board of Trustees.
What will you do?
Attend meetings of the Trustee Board, either in person or via online link.
Actively contribute to setting policy and strategic direction, defining goals and setting targets.
Monitor performance against business plans and agreed financial budgets.
Actively seek to further the strategic objectives of BVST.
Act in the best interests at all times.

Skills Description

What do you need to have? Commitment and availability to attend Trustee Board meetings. Experience of working at and/or ability to think at a strategic level. A commitment of the aims of BVST and Community House

By Bus: There are many Town Centre bus stops nearby plus the Bus Station at Bromley north By Car: There are two public car parks near Community House. The nearest is the Glades shopping centre. The Bromley Civic Centre also has a car park. By Train: There are regular train services running from Central London and Kent Stations to Bromley South and Bromley North.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
