Apply to volunteer for St John Ambulance as a Community First Aider in Bromley. Attend events to provide first aid, teach the public first aid and fundraise vital funds so that the charity can continue to deliver services.

Once you have applied to be a volunteer, you will then be invited to have a discussion with local volunteers so that we can find out more about you and you can find out more about us to ensure that we are both the right fit.

Most of the volunteering activities occur at weekends plus attending a regular meeting every other week on a week day evening.

No previous training or experience required. We provide all training.

There are no required skills but any skills that you have will be a benefit.

You will get to join a local group of like minded friendly volunteers keen to save lives, teach first aid, and make a difference in your community. You will get to attend local events and national events including school fetes, parades, and marathons as well as many others. You will gain life saving skills and soft skills that will help you both in your voluntary role and in professional careers. You will have access to Wellbeing services and discount cards.

80 hours per year plus attendance a meetings every other week.

Local buses include R4, R6, 477 which stop at Reynolds Cross Red Lion (Stop SP) Alternatively, any bus that stops at the Nugent Shopping Centre is a short walk away.

Volunteer Centre  Covid Safe

We have access to a whole range of personal protective equipment to keep you safe. We also have IPC and cleaning policies that adhered to. We also ask our volunteers not to attend if they are unwell.
