Digital Volunteer (Drop-In)

You did not enter a postcode in the search, or the postcode for this role is unknown.

Our Digital Drop-Ins provide a friendly space for local residents to get questions answered or problems solved for their laptop, tablet or smart phone. They are also a place to practice in a supported environment and get access to other local learning programmes.

We understand that for many people technology can be overwhelming and so, making information as simple as possible can go a long way to giving people the confidence to become more independent in an informal setting.

These sessions are a chance for someone to drop-in with their device, sit down with a member of our team or a volunteer to get help with a single issue or extend some skills.

The people we work with often feel nervous around computers or phones and so an understanding of how to relate well to others and stay calm are recommended for this role, as is an ability to work well as a team to ensure a smooth delivery of sessions.

Our approach is people first and then the technology!
