Tea Party Group Coordinator

Re-engage

Be the heart of our tea party group.

Our Group Coordinators are the bread and butter of our monthly tea parties - the friendly organisers who bring everything (and everyone!) together.

This is a varied and truly meaningful role that makes a real difference to the lives of lonely or isolated older people in Bromley.

As a coordinator, you'll take care of everything from arranging the annual tea party schedule and matching older guests with volunteer drivers, to welcoming new volunteers and guests into the group. You'll stay in regular contact with everyone, helping to build a warm, inclusive atmosphere where lasting friendships can grow.

You'll be fully supported by the Re-engage team with training, guidance and plenty of cheer along the way.

If you're an organised person who loves bringing people together, this could be the perfect way to make a difference in your community - one cuppa at a time.

Admin, IT skills - basic, Managing People, Organising & Planning

Skills This role would suit someone who is friendly, reliable and comfortable chatting with volunteers and older guests from all walks of life. A dash of creativity and enthusiasm for promoting your group locally is always a bonus too! If you're the kind of person who loves seeing others smile, and who takes pride in making things happen, this is a role that will leave you feeling fulfilled and inspired.

Benefits This role offers you the chance to connect older people with others in their local community. You'll be able to see the impact of your efforts first-hand, and you will grow a network of volunteers who share your passion to feel part of something special.

When do I need to be available? Details: This is mainly an admin role so any time that suits you would be great, although our tea parties generally take place monthly on a Sunday afternoon. We anticipate you’ll be volunteering for around four hours a month – roughly broken down into two hours planning and two hours attending the tea party.

Further location details may be provided below.
