What you will be doing

Volunteer as an Emergency Responder for St John Ambulance and provide first aid and care to those in need at events in Bromley and across London including stadiums, parades, marathons, fetes, and fayres making our community a better place to live.

You will also undertake fundraising to support our work and deliver first aid training to increase knowledge of lifesaving skills in the community.

To maintain your skills you will need to attend regular meetings which are currently held at the Orpington Sea Cadet Building.

There are also plenty of opportunities to advance early in your journey with St John Ambulance with leadership roles, becoming a trainer, driver or event manager.

We provide training, expenses and uniform. No experience necessary. As part of the role you will study for and gain a Level 3 qualification

Skills Description

Time Commitment

At least 150 hours per year: - 100 hours per year providing first aid at events; - Attendance at regular CPD meetings - Initial training over 6 days across three weekends plus online learning - Undertaking fundraising and providing training in first aid
