What you will be doing

You’ll help plan and run events focused on raising funds to support Bromley Homeless and keep our services running. You'll be a member of our Fundraising Committee and support our Fundraising Officer and Trustees both in advance and on the ground during events.

Key Responsibilities:
Help generate ideas for events and fundraising opportunities for Bromley Homeless, (past events include quiz nights, meals and of course our annual Sleepout event),
Attend Events and Fundraising Committee meetings (around every 8 weeks) usually in person at United Reformed Church.

Helping identify and arrange participating in events planned by other organisations (e.g. Christmas fairs or school fetes and Bromley Little Theatre charity preview nights)
Support the planning and logistics involved with events
Attend the events and support them on the ground

Skills Description

Previous experience of fundraising or event organising (of any kind, school PTA, work events, other charities etc) would be desirable. Enthusiasm and passion to support Bromley Homeless Team working and interpersonal skills Engaging with members of the public

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
