• Supporting our Tuesday Club – helping people join in with social and creative activities, games, quizzes, crafts and themed evenings.
• Supporting our monthly nightclub – welcoming people, helping with activities and making sure everyone feels included and able to enjoy the evening.
• Helping at occasional CANDI community events and activities.
A big part of the role is simply being friendly, patient and approachable and helping people feel welcome and included.
Our volunteers work alongside the CANDI team. You will not be expected to provide personal care or take sole responsibility for anyone attending our activities.

Volunteer Centre  Support you will receive

CANDI is an inclusive organisation and we actively welcome neurodivergent and disabled volunteers. We understand that volunteers may have different communication, sensory, learning, mobility or support needs. We are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments and how we can make volunteering accessible. This might include clear written instructions, breaking tasks into manageable steps, agreeing predictable roles, additional induction time, regular breaks or working alongside another member of the team. We want people to be able to contribute in ways that make the best use of their strengths.
