We have funding from the City Bridge Trust to support and develop volunteers to recruit new members, spread the word about our work and represent us at local network meetings and events. A great way to add to your CV, meet new contacts and get support to develop networking and representation skills. Due to the nature of the work, the volunteers need to have lived experience of Disability. This includes physical or sensory, mental health, learning disability or long term health condition.

Essential to have a personal understanding of how Disability affects lives and how Disabled people can achieve their aspirations with the right support: - Interested in people, outgoing and motivated - Able to communicate enthusiasm and engage people - Able to update basic spreadsheets and send emails and make phone calls(With access support if needed). Also desirable: - To be willing to travel locally to local network events.

If needed, we can provide a support assistant to support you with any access needs you might have such as reading, writing and communicating: Full induction, free training, and on-the-task mentoring. Very friendly & flexible organisational culture. Small, friendly office. Fully accessible office including ultra-accessible and roomy WC facilities. Travel expenses.
