Visit Support Volunteer

Out There (Supporting Families of Prisoners)

- To assist Out There individual clients / families to prison visits including picking them up from an agreed address and taking them back again
- To support Out There’s Clients with their emotional wellbeing which has been impacted by the imprisonment of a loved one.
- To have a full and clean UK Driving License and access to a fully licensed, taxed and a MOT’d car
- Keep up to date records of sessions and identify any next steps
- To represent Out There’s values and ethos when supporting clients
- Be able to work on own initiative with ongoing support and guidance from Out There colleagues.

Advice, Information & Support,Befriending, Buddying & Mentoring,Driving (must have full driving license)

Counselling, UK Driving Licence

- To have a full and clean UK Driving License and access to a fully licensed, taxed and a MOT’d car - Previous experience in supporting others with their emotional wellbeing - Previous experience of supporting others to navigate the Criminal Justice System - Be positive and friendly - Have a non-judgmental attitude - Be flexible and use initiative - Be organised and punctual - Have some experience of direct work with families, children or our client group. -

Training, ongoing support, direct experience, all mileage and expenses paid

A minumum half day / day per month
