TRUSTEE FOR VOLUNTEER CENTRE CAMDEN (VCC)
VCC is looking for a trustee to join its active and friendly board of trustees.

Trustees work as a team to support the strategic direction of the charity and take legal responsibility for the organisation. The team is looking to add to its strengths by looking for a trustee who has good knowledge about the charity sector, e.g. current and future trends, funding environment, understanding of charity governance, etc.

As well as an understanding of the charity sector, you need to be passionate about volunteering as this is, as you would expect, a key aspect for our organisation.

Knowledge and understanding of Camden is welcomed but not essential.

If there is a good fit, there will be an informal meeting with Dominic and/or Chair Julia as well as an opportunity to join a trustee meeting as an observer before making any final commitment.

Trusteeships & Committees

You must have good knowledge and experience of the charity sector. The Board of Trustees is looking for someone who: - knows and understands current and upcoming trends within the sector - understands the funding landscape, current focus and awareness of future changes - understands about charity governance and legal obligations You must also be passionate about volunteering and the impact that volunteering has on communities and wider society. Knowledge and understanding of the London Borough of Camden will be helpful but not essential.

Use your knowledge, skills and experience to help support Volunteer Centre Camden, the lead volunteering organisation for the London Borough of Camden. You will be working with a great team of active and dynamic trustees and will be fully supported in your role, from full induction support (including a trustee buddy) and ongoing support so you feel you are contributing in your role. All trustees supported by CEO Dominic Pinkney.

Volunteer Centre Camden trustees currently meet 6 times a year for formal meetings and have short non-obligation informal catch up meetings in-between each of these. Formal trustee meetings last about 1-1.5hrs.
