As one of the Publicity Event Assistants, you will be responsible for carrying out the duties set by the Event Manager.
This will include:
To work with the Event Manager to plan a publicity campaign in the run up to the event
To use a range of publicity methods to raise the profile of the run leading upto the event and beyond
To research and communicate with a range of local organisations, charities, schools, colleges to promote the event
To create publicity materials (leaflets, emails, adverts, Tweets, Facebook pages) to distribute

The event is the Southern Run which is a new community 25-mile race across 5 South London Boroughs (Croydon, Bromley, Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham), taking place on Sunday 8th April 2018. We believe in bringing communities together through sport and using it as a catalyst for tackling the prevalent issues of obesity locally and facilitating community cohesion. The Southern Run is designed to allow participants to raise money for causes personal to them. The race can be completed as an individual or as a relay team.

Has an interest in sport and community development, although not essential
