If you have a passion about youth and wish to get involved in your local area, then help support one of our affiliated youth clubs. Trustees ensure the club is managed in accordance with its constitution (governing document) and are responsible for the strategic direction and financial stability (not the day to day operations). Some roles are referred to as committee members but the responsibilities are the same.

General Responsibilities:
-Attend trustee meetings and AGM
-Read appropriate papers and documents prior to trustee meetings (being prepared)
-Make a contribution (speak up and not be afraid to ask questions)
- Act in the club's best interests at all times ( especially in decision making at meetings)
- Ensure the minutes of meetings are a true reflection of discussion and decisions
-Understand enough about the club and its activities to make informed decisions.

Although particular expertise is welcomed ( i.e marketing, planning, financial, HR , youth work) an ability to speak up and have good common sense is just as important . Trustee boards and regularity of meetings vary from club to club.

Please note : You don't need to have any previous trustee experience to volunteer with us.
