What you will be doing

We have a wonderful site that has two large Victorian style greenhouses, polytunnel and many outside beds. We grow a diverse range of fruits, soft fruits and vegetables using different gardening techniques.

We are looking for individuals who want to learn about growing food and horticulture and who want to work the land.
Our ethos is one of respect for the environment and each other.

What is in it for you

Our volunteers will join a team of people who are working to develop our wonderful site that overlooks ancient woodland. You can develop or improve skills in food growing and horticultural techniques, learn about biodiversity, benefit from our wonderful food produce.

Time Commitment

Flexible 11-3pm on Fridays

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
