About the Role

We’re looking for compassionate and committed individuals to join our Circle of Support and Accountability (COSA) Programme – the final stage of our Exodus Programme, which supports young people affected by violence, exploitation, or harm.

As a COSA Volunteer, you’ll form part of a small, trusted circle that meets regularly with a young person who is working to build a safer and more positive future.

Together, you’ll offer support, accountability, and encouragement, helping them stay on track with their goals and grow their confidence and resilience.

What You’ll Do

Meet regularly (with support) as part of a small volunteer circle
Build a consistent, positive relationship with a young person
Support them to reflect, plan, and achieve their goals
Encourage accountability and positive decision-making
Work alongside trained staff and mentors in a restorative, trauma-informed setting

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need previous experience—just empathy, consistency, and a willingness to learn.

Whether you’re a student, professional, or community member, if you can give a few hours each month and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Befriending, buddying and mentoring

Admin, Evaluating & Reviewing, Verbal Communication

Empathy and Active Listening – to build trust and understand each young person’s experiences. Reliability and Consistency – to provide stable, dependable support within the circle. Good Communication Skills – to encourage reflection, accountability, and positive choices.

Full training and ongoing support Experience in restorative practice and trauma-informed approaches Opportunities to develop communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills Real-world experience valued in psychology, criminology, youth work, and community roles The satisfaction of helping a young person take meaningful steps toward a better future

one hour every 2 weeks for a 12 week period
