We organise six one-week holidays a year between June and September with a maximum of five holidaymakers a week. Holidays are based at Holton Lee, a well-being centre set in beautiful countryside on the shores of Poole Harbour. As a residential volunteer you will stay at Holton Lee alongside the group of disabled holidaymakers for the duration of their week’s holiday. Sharing a week of friendship and fun, the residential volunteers provide for the care and support needs of the holidaymakers which may include personal care, catering and simply making time for each person. You will find yourself involved in a varied programme of activities both on and off site, for example carriage riding, bird watching, woodcraft, barbeques, boat trips and outings to local attractions. We also have opportunities for volunteers who cannot commit to a whole week but who can help out with specific activities and tasks, for example minibus driving, catering or accompanying holidaymakers on outings. We are currently recruiting volunteers for our 2019 holidays. If interested contact Wendy on 01202 375006 or firstname.lastname@example.org

The ability to work in a hands on, close knit team. Experience in the Health and Social Care sector is an advantage but not necessary as training and support is provided.
Although hard work, volunteers have a week of fun staying in a beautiful setting and the opportunity to get involved in lots of different activities. They also have the reward of knowing that they are making a huge difference to the lives of the holidaymakers whilst giving respite to their day to day carers.
