Working as part of a team, Volunteer Gardeners help with the upkeep and development of the range of gardens in Purbeck. where clearing and planting are carried out, but the main activity is in a newly developed well-resourced kitchen garden which provides vegetable produce for the National Trust café and tearoom through the seasons. This is a great chance to get to know the area better and make a real difference to our gardens.

Take the A351 from Wareham to Corfe Castle. After passing the National Trust car park on your left at the base of Corfe Castle, take the first turning left sign-posted Studland B3351. Proceed along this road for approximately 3.5 miles. You will then see a signpost with a right turn to Swanage. (If you pass the golf course on your left then you’ve gone too far.) Take that turning and the office is just on the right hand side as you drive down the hill. The first open gate you come to is the exit from the car park so drive past the building and in through the furthest open gate. If you come via the Bournemouth and Swanage ferry, proceed from the ferry towards the village, approximately 3 miles. Go through the village and out the other side. Carry on past the first turning down to Swanage for another half a mile and the golf course centre will be on your right hand side. Take the next turning on the left signposted Swanage. Sorry, we're not on a bus route, nearest would be Swanage - Studland.
