You will offer informal advice, information and support to adults in your community who want to get online and learn how to use a computer confidently. You will probably work with learners on a one-to-one basis, meeting in a public venue such as a library or other online centre.
You will be adaptable and confident with a range of different technologies, supporting learners with their own laptop or device or by using the library's equipment.
You will use the basic digital skills framework and your own experience to improve people's digital skills and make a difference to their lives.
You will promote the digital champion service in your community, set up and advertise learning sessions, offer a warm, friendly and reliable service to all learners regardless of age, background or ability and provide the programme with accurate records of your volunteering activities as required.
