Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre is a pan Dorset charity based in Poole that provides confidential helpline support, face to face counselling and practical support through our Independent Sexual violence Advisor service to those affected by rape and sexual assault.
We offer 1:1 counselling support to survivors of sexual violence and have opportunities for trainee and qualified counsellors.
Role: Volunteer Counsellor
Skills and Qualification: Our volunteer counsellors must have completed or be completing at least a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling or equivalent.
Time Commitment: We ask that you are able to commit to a minimum caseload of two clients (raising to 3 when you feel ready) and commit to volunteering with the centre for at least 24 months. We provide in-house fortnightly supervision with our Clinical Lead and a monthly team meeting or CPD opportunity that you are expected to attend.
