The role is as a volunteer. There is no requirement to have had a cadet or military background and the role would suit someone with book-keeping or accountancy experience. Some induction is required and a DBS check is necessary, but all costs are covered by the Sea Cadets. The commitment is not arduous - regular visits to the unit on parade nights would be most useful. The Treasurer is also a Trustee of the independent charity and a member of the Unit Management Team which meets 10 times per year. A full role description is available.
