Mindful Mums Peer Support (Greenwich)

Mindful Mums provides pregnant women and new mums with the support and the connections they need to stay well and manage the challenges of parenthood. With the help of our peer support volunteers, with their own personal experiences of parenting and challenges to mental health, we provide informal walking groups, five-week Wellbeing groups in children’s centres, and online Pregnancy Wellbeing groups.

Sessions run for 1hr 45mins weekly, term time only.

Language Skills

Ability to communicate well with other mums. Skills to effectively facilitate sessions. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team. Understanding of the pressures and stresses facing pregnant and new mums. Willingness to engage in some Mindfulness practise. Willingness to talk from your own experience in an appropriate way.

Being part of a team of local mums, who have all experienced perinatal mental health issues and who want to help pregnant and new mums build skills to manage their mental health in a positive way. Delivering an exciting and innovative project that will really make a difference to pregnant and new mums.

2 hours per week for 5 weeks.
