What you will be doing

Supporting our school administration, your placement will be based in our office, where you will answer and make telephone calls, meet and greet visitors, sign in students and log attendance.

Skills Description

You will be a friendly and bubbly people person who has an interest in youth issues and in helping others. You will have pleasant phone manner and presentable appearance.

Time Commitment

We can offer 1 day week up to 5 days a week, term time, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 10am and 2.30pm. We can be flexible to you and offer hours to work around your schedule.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
