We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Children’s Craft Session Assistant to support our new weekly arts and crafts sessions held at the local Children’s Centre. These sessions are designed for children aged 2–5 and their parents or carers, offering a welcoming and creative space to connect, play, and explore through craft.

This volunteer role will run for 8 weeks, starting Wednesday 25th June, with sessions taking place every Wednesday from 9:30am to 11:30am.

As a volunteer assistant, you will work alongside our session leader to help prepare and tidy up materials, offer hands-on support to children and families, and help ensure the sessions run smoothly and safely. This is a rewarding opportunity to support early years development, build positive relationships, and encourage creativity within the community.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being around young children and is happy to support families in a fun, creative space. Volunteering in this role offers a chance to: - Contribute to meaningful community work that supports families and early years development - Gain hands-on experience working with children and facilitating creative activities - Develop transferable skills in communication, teamwork, and childcare support - Enhance your CV — great for those considering careers in early education, social care, or creative industries - Join a friendly, supportive team committed to improving wellbeing through creativity

This role will start from the 25th of June and will continue for 8 weeks that we are certain of right now. Sessions will be 2 hours long so this role will be for a total of 16 hours. Ideally we would like a couple volunteers with all of that time available but we understand that may not be possible so we are happy to be flexible we just ask that you communicate your availability effectively in order to enable us to find the appropriate help.
