What you will be doing

o Meet at least quarterly with the Head of Greenwich Giving to discuss the
development of the charity and the Board (separate to full Board meetings)
o Chair the Board meeting, ensuring Board members are engaged and up to
date with the progress of the charity
o Monitor and appraise the progress of the Head of Greenwich Giving,
particularly once the charity becomes an independent organisation
Time Commitment: it is anticipated that the above duties will require the commitment of
an additional 1-2 hours/month from the Chair.

o Previous experience in a trustee position or as a senior leader in the charitable sector o Experience of chairing meetings and events

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
