Basic IT skills - internet & email

You do not have to be an elite swimmer, although being confident in the water is essential. We will provide a comprehensive induction and ongoing training in working with swimmers with disabilities. You will also need to have a basic digital literacy - our rotas and sign ups are all online. The main quality we value in our volunteers is the ability to listen and respond to what the swimmers want to achieve. Our volunteers care about inclusivity, accessibility and community.

Thanks to our volunteers, our disabled swimmers are more active, socially engaged and confident in their abilities in and out of the water.
