Crossness Pumping Station is the jewel in the crown of the Victorian London sewers, a Cathedral to Sewage. Built originally in 1865 by Sir Joseph Bazalgette, our site includes beautiful examples of Victorian architecture including the Grade 1 listed Beam Engine house.
Our gardening volunteers maintain and develop our green spaces and gardens on site. From our formal Victorian garden to our colourful narrow gauge railway verges, the gardening team ensures that visitors have the best welcome to our beautiful site.
We also need groundskeepers to help keep our gardens and grounds maintained and safe for visitors!
