The AF project Hounslow is based at West Middlesex Hospital. The aim of the project is early detection of AF and stroke prevention in the Hounslow community. Screening people for atrial fibrillation using a mobile phone with a device. We would like to recruit volunteers to screen people for AF. AF is atrial fibrillation which is irregular heart rhythm and or rate. AF can lead to stroke, so if you would like to contribute to stroke prevention in Hounslow please get involved! We will provide training, no qualifications are needed, but volunteers are required to attend a training day.

Basic IT skills - internet & email,Managing People,Reading & Writing

The volunteer will need to know how to use a smartphone and be familiar with using whatsapp. They must be willing to engage with general public and have a friendly approach.

Full training on healthy heart matters and atrial fibrillation. Attendance certificate. The volunteer maybe issued a device if suitable.
