Exciting opportunity to join our dynamic hands-on charity in West London, working to support children and young people in the Feltham community.

Are you enthusiastic with a passion for working with a charity that will make a positive impact in the lives of young people? If so, we have positions available for trustee roles, co-opting trustees, and an opening for treasurer and secretary.

Feltham Community Development Association (FCDA) started a few years ago and works actively to address the priority needs of children and young people in the area, primarily around advancement of education, engaging with the vulnerable, promoting physical activity, reducing anti-social behaviour, and working on referrals and connections to other support organisations. We run a lively community centre, with engaging activities that support disadvantage and vulnerable children and young people.

We are looking for a volunteers to join our board of trustees for a few hours per month, primarily evening. You will be responsible for supporting FCDA in pursuing its objectives, helping through your particular area of expertise. We are keen to secure support from those with marketing, funding, HR, and financial expertise.

You will contribute actively to the board of trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets, and ensuring we use our resources to pursue our objectives.

Alongside other trustees, you will safeguard the good name and values of the organisation, ensure effective and efficient administration, and help secure financial stability.

You will be mainly volunteering from home and attending meetings at our community centre in Feltham on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

We are looking for passionate individuals who can give commitment to the organisation and help in particular with fundraising, finance management, finance, and outreach. Willingness to devote the necessary time and effort, together with strategic vision, are key requirements for the positions. You must be able to think creatively and have good, independent judgement, with willingness to speak your mind and able to work effectively as part of a team.

You will be part of a passionate team who share a common goal of improving the well-being and life opportunities of local young people in Feltham. You will also be able to actively share your expertise and gain new skills within the charity sector supporting young people.
