The Waterworks Museum- Hereford Vision is to thrive and grow as a specialist museum, focused on the history of water supplies for public benefit, and be a prominent Herefordshire visitor attraction. The Museum aspires to bring its industrial heritage to life through the working engines, pumps, boilers and other artefacts it looks after.
It is a working museum wholly governed, managed, and operated by volunteers. The Museum wishes to increase and diversity its membership of Trustees and are seeking individuals with the following areas of recent expertise: Financial and accounting skills, application of IT systems or social media and marketing skills.
The museum is looking for individuals willing and able to be a pro -active supporter to join the team of Trustees in demonstrating commitment to its vision and values.
Trustees meet four times a year to set the strategic direction of the museum, approve key policies and oversee arrangements by which the museum meets its obligations as both a registered company and charity. It considers matters relating to the financial position and long- term sustainability of the museum as a key objective. Individual members are appointed annually, known collectively as the Council of Management forming the Governing Body.
