What you will be doing

The role of operator is to run sessions of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy using a simple control panel situated next to the barochamber. Members may need assitance into the chamber and to put masks on, some of whom may be in a wheelchair or have limited mobility.
There is a small amount of admin to complete on the computer and on paper to ensure therapy records are kept up to date and members can book or amend future sessions.
Where required, volunteers may be asked to support with a small amount of housekeeping such as cleaning and making refreshments for members and visitors.
Ideally we are looking for operators to work on a Thursday/Friday 9-12.30 or 12-3.30 but also be on hand to cover for sickness and holidays of other operators

Skills Description

Operators must be friendly and approachable, being able to talk to people from a variety of backgrounds and with varying levels of disability. A basic level of computer literacy is desirable

Our centre is fully accessible and designed foe those who need extra support. Our chamber operators are required to be mobile and there are elements of physical working, however we have a number of roles where this is not required and we are always happy to meet with anyone considering volunteering with us to see how we can best support and accommodate anyone who has additional needs.
