Regular Team Leaders - Fri PM and Wed AM shift (Either or both) + Reserve Team Leaders

The primary role of the Hereford Food Bank Team Leader is to oversee the day to day running at the Monkmoor Street Food Bank to supply food parcels to clients.
The Team Leader also helps to inspire and motivate their team members and delegates tasks based on a volunteer’s individual strengths.

The Team Leader is responsible to the Hereford Foodbank Manager and reports directly to them.

Main Responsibilities
Advise the Food Bank Manager or exceptional events such as accidents, near-misses, equipment failures, complaints, food shortage and major donations.
Managing the Monkmoor Street distribution centre, principally involving emergency food parcel packing, donation management and food storage
Compliance with GDPR rules. Responsible for the safekeeping of all personal information about clients and volunteers. To include locking all documents, petty cash box and electronic equipment away at the end of the day.
Responsible for a clean handover to the next shift.
Maintaining handover notes for the next Team Leader and driver.
Work with drivers to maximise efficiency on delivery routes.

Passionate about tackling poverty, deprivation and injustice and wanting to actively contribute to helping those in need or who are marginalised within our community. A non-judgemental and positive attitude towards people who are in need. Self-motivated and an ability to work independently with minimum supervision Good organisational skills Ability to communicate effectively Ability to resolve conflict Ability to lead, manage, motivate, train & support volunteers Empathy and an ability to work with a diverse range of people in an inclusive and proactive way Knowledge of computer applications as used by the food bank including -specific software. Training will be provided where required. Attention to detail Desirable: Experience of managing people Experience of working in the voluntary sector and with public sector agencies

An opportunity to work closely with the Foodbank teams, build relationships and help reduce food poverty in the area. The volunteers are a group of motivated and engaging people. A good opportunity to refresh or maintain organisational skills and stay connected with the community.

We are looking for someone to fill either a regular Wednesday morning slot 9.45am-12pm .15 or Friday afternoon 12.45 - 3.15pm. We also need reserve people to fill in when regulars are unavailable.
