Good communication skills, ability to focus on the job in hand and follow instructions. If you enjoy rummaging and creating order from chaos this will be right up your street! Our donations come in in mixed bags and boxes and this role involves sorting the donations, making decisions about whether the item is saleable or should be recycled if its past its best. We identify unusual or vintage items for further research, which you can do if you're able, Then items are priced ready to go on the shop floor. Sorting is done in our rear warehouse so ideal if you'd rather not deal with customers.

Sense of fulfilment in supporting our aims in reducing landfill and reusing items for either those in need or on the shopfloor. Experience for your CV. Camaraderie, company and friendship. Using your previous experience or knowledge - maybe you are a expert in art, old books, fashion, furniture?

No minimum time commitment - we are very flexible with the warehouse open 9-3 Tuesday to Saturday. We do an occasional Sunday or Monday - so please contact us if you're interested in those days. We welcome any contribution from volunteers whether it is 1 hour a week or 4 days - all welcomed and all appreciated.
