What you will be doing

Tuesday mornings from 9am - 11am prepping vegetables etc
Lunchtimes (approx 11am - 2pm) Tuesday to Friday - taking orders, serving drinks, waiting at table, clearing and washing up.
General help at events once you know the ropes !
Free drink and snack is provided at the end of each shift.

What is in it for you

You will join an existing team of 30+ who cover our 24 shifts per week. There is great camaraderie and many volunteers form new long term relationships during their time here. We offer a welcoming environment to everyone and you would be contributing enoromously towards our mission which is to tackle rural isolation and build community.

Time Commitment

Most volunteers work a 3 hour shift in line with cafe opening hours but we are flexible !

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
