This task is the sorting of items for packing, medical, military, trauma, comfort boxes, charity shop, Children's Hospital. Many other tasks are available to match your skills.

Skills Description

No skills are required. We are a friendly team that work mainly at St Peters Church House. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10 - 4pm but other days and times can be arranged. Other activities and work days depend on aid coming in or a need to collect from doners.

We are not able to support anyone with a disability as we are in a upstairs room with no lift. And volunteers are required to carry aid up and down the stairs. Also no parking is available at St Peters for any of the volunteers.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
