Be part of our Outreach and Engagement Team and help us promote volunteering across Hackney! We're looking for people who are passionate about volunteering and its benefits to help us reach out to people who may be interested in volunteering, by representing Volunteer Centre Hackney at events in Hackney and beyond. Events are varied and may include job fairs, local community festivals, open days and awareness raising events.
We're looking for an office based volunteer for 1 - 2 days per week to help us research, plan and deliver outreach events. This involves contacting event organisers across the borough to ensure that VCH have a presence at events and assisting in the planning and organizing of events including preparing all documents and materials needed. We're also looking for a team of volunteers to attend events. This is a more practical role, where you would get involved in the stand set up and take down and talk to as many people as possible about volunteering and how they can get involved. Both roles involve excellent communication, patience and the desire to promote volunteering as a positive life choice.
The Outreach Team help us reach as many people in Hackney as possible and make volunteering accessible to all. This is an excellent opportunity to develop soft skills like communication, working as a team and confidence as Outreach Volunteer
