The Hidden River Festival is a community-led event, which attracts people from all over London, and this year will be taking place on Saturday 14 September from 12 - 6pm. They’ll be lots of interactive workshops, music acts, street food vendors and lots more. 3,000 people attended last year's festival, so we only hope this will increase!
By helping to support this festival, you are giving back to the wonderful Woodberry Down community, where many residents who live in social housing and under financial strain, can come and enjoy this free and joyous festival.
We also want our volunteers to have fun on the day too! They’ll be lots going on and we encourage you to get involved!
We have 2 main roles for the volunteers which are ‘Event Set up Stewards’ and ‘Event Clear Down Stewards’.
‘Event Set up Stewards’ are required to come in from 9 am – 2 pm on the day of the festival. This role requires volunteers to help with the set up of the gazebos, tables, chairs, etc and also to help our stallholders with their set up.
From 12 pm volunteers will be on hand to help navigate visitors around the festival when needed, and to help support the stallholders, workshops leaders and anyone else who is a part of the festival.
‘Event Clear down Stewards’ are required to come from 2 pm – 7 pm on the day of the festival. This role requires volunteers to help with the clear down from 5:30 pm onwards. Before then, volunteers will be on hand to help navigate visitors around the festival when needed.
