In the case of a further national or local lockdown in Hackney, VCH is seeking local people in Hackney who are willing to be part of an Emergency Volunteer Team.

By registering, you'll be included in a regular e-newsletter featuring urgent local opportunities specifically related to Covid-19. When an urgent opportunity arises, your details will be passed onto local community organisations in your postcode area who will be delivering emergency food and essentials to other local people.

Your tasks with these organisations might include:
- Using your own transport (on foot, car or bike) for deliveries and collections
- Delivering emergency food supplies to local residents
- Cooking and packaging food
- Supporting logistics planning including managing deliveries, supporting other volunteers or general admin

Whether you have an hour or two a week, or more, sign up and let us know that you may be available. Roles will take place on a range of days, including evenings and weekends and may be one-off, very short term or for longer periods of time.

Please note that once you details are passed on, the organisation will get in contact with you and may require an ID check or a DBS check - but this doesn't apply to all roles.
