Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association

You did not enter a postcode in the search, or the postcode for this role is unknown.

Everyone has been affected by COVID-19 since its outbreak. We are seeking volunteer Community Champions to help share information about COVID-19 and staying safe with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues in the Turkish and Turkish Cypriot community. Sharing these important health messages will help people stay safe and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

To do this, the Turkish Cypriot Cultural Organisation, Hackney Council and Public Health England will support you with full training on the key messages that need to be communicated including; What Covid-19 is, how and where to get tested, how contact tracing works and how to get support if you need to self-isolate or if you need extra support for your wellbeing and safety.

The key messages can be shared with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues in everyday ways.

You could share an image or text on a WhatsApp group you belong to, on your Facebook page, or email or call someone you know to talk about what you have learnt. Simply talking to friends when you are out shopping or on the school run is a great way to share the key messages too!

You can do some of these, or all of these – how much time you spend talking with others and sharing these messages is totally up to you.

This is a great role if you want to support your local community, are interested in health or social care, have worked in healthcare or just enjoying talking with people online, on the phone or in person.

If you are interested in helping support the local effort in tackling COVID-19, we would love to hear from you.
