Cyclists with own bikes to help deliver free meals to local community members, most at risk. Bikes with trailers or Cargo bikes needed as well.If you have a Cargo Bike or can borrow one, we need your help to transport meals across Hackney to residents most in need of meals. Made in Hackney cooks and delivers almost 1,000 meals per week, delivered in bulk on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 pm - 6:30 pm.If you have a bicycle, you can also be a Cycle Buddy to accompany the Cargo Rider to deliver the meals. You will accompany and assist another cyclist riding a cargo bike who will carry the meals and help guard the bikes when making the deliveries.Both Cargo Riders and Cycle Buddies will need to be handy using an app on your smart phone for routing the deliveries. Bicycles with panniers will not be sufficient for transporting the meals.Our cyclists ride from 4.00-6.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will be provided with masks and gloves and required to watch a food hygiene training video, and follow our Safeguarding and Data Protection guidelines.Reasonable expenses for volunteering that day will be reimbursed.Training on use of the Circuit App will be provided.Please register your interest to apply!
