We are looking for highly-motivated and enthusiastic Class Volunteers to join our friendly school team in September 2021. Volunteers will spend time with our children (5-11 years old) in their classrooms, promoting the importance of education.
You may listen to groups of children read as well as reading them stories, help them with their spellings, maths, and art work. You may be asked to help with small group interventions and participate generally in school life. You will also accompany classes on a range of exciting school trips and there will be opportunities for developing after school clubs which our children enjoy if you wish.
We would really like you to make a connection with the children at our school. For this reason, we would require a minimum two months’ commitment for this role and a minimum attendance of two times per week. We are happy to discuss exact hours with each individual volunteer but as an indication you could be required for this role at the times below:
From 8am to 11am
From 1pm to 3:30pm
From 1pm to 5pm

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is considering a career in education or who has already worked in education or with children in other capacities. (All PGCE applicants must spend a minimum of 5 days working in a school). References can be provided for volunteers.
