What you will be doing

Community Befrienders for Riverside Engage Hackney

• Visiting isolated lonely, housebound vulnerable people at home for companionship and one-to-one friendship.
• You may also be accompanying people to get out of their homes, to social events, for a short walk, to a gig, to the dentist, to the doctor or to hospital appointments.

Telephone Befrienders
• Providing one-to-one emotional support, friendship and companionship through regular telephone calls. As a volunteer, you would call clients once a week.

Correspondence Support
•Support the regular correspondence Clinic to support people by reading letters or signposting to other suitable services.

Skills Description
